OUR STORY.
Jason Jay (JSNJAY) is a Toronto-based designer, artist, and creative consultant with over 15+ years of experience at the intersection of design, sport tech, and innovation.
CEO and Creative Director of Contender Studio, Jason helps athletic brands connect with people and build legacy through game-changing experiences. He’s worked with global sports organizations like the Toronto Raptors, Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Football Club, NBA, NHL, MLS, and more. Delivering design that drives and elevates both brand and user experiences.
As former Head of Design at MLSE’s Sport Performance Lab, he led digital innovation for the Raptors, Leafs, TFC, and Argos—visualizing advanced metrics for coaching, training, scouting, and player performance.
Jason is also an NBA Inclusion Leadership Award Winner, NBA Team Innovation Award Winner, and a featured artist in the Scotiabank Arena Artist Collection—reflecting his commitment to inclusive, impactful design and culture in sport.

The process with Contender Studio is as professional as it comes. In the initial conversation, he gets to know all about you, your likes, interests, inspirations, goals, mission statements, anything and everything to help him amplify your brand and maximize his engagement through storytelling. He does his best Tinker Hatfield impression when he was probing Michael Jordan for the production of the Jordan 3’s.
